With the unseasonably high temps since New Year's, the bulbs got restless underground and over the past weekend the yard burst with gobs of daffodils. But alas...with the return of seasonal monsoons this week, the poor things all had their heads smashed into the ground. Sharp scissors were located and many bunches are now inside around the house, belying the scene outside the windows. Lucky house-dweller am I.
